The well-known and famed ice cream bar of Shrewsbury, the county town of Shropshire. Selling Sidolis “Golden Meadow” and “Rich Dairy” ice cream in choice of 12 flavours. The very best in soft-whipped ice cream vanilla, strawberry separately or mixed in cones, cups or hi-balls. Also ice cream milk shakes from all the flavours of ice cream. Polar slush with choice of 6 flavours, sweet popcorn, and Treats iced lollies.

Mr John and Mrs Pauline Yarwood opened The Taste of Shrewsbury in 1990. They are the oldest tenants in the Darwin Shopping Centre in more ways than one, and it quickly became a focal point of the Darwin Shopping Centre and of Shrewsbury. John Yarwood is a larger than life character who delights in teasing his customers who come from all parts of this country and abroad.
